EXCELLENT, nice lay down gearbox! Looks like 16 cells, that should really haul out. Looks like you are done, almost.
I wish I was that fast with the Maritimo I've had for a year... Almost done mine, just a little glue...

how does it perform? are u happy with it? how do u know what prop to use? Im asking cos im thinking of doing something similar with the maritimo hull, except I want a twin drive setup.

i also had to make the brakets for the trans and i used pan head stainless screws to fasten it to the hull and also used alot of silicon below the mount to take up any vibration to the hull ....mr fine from fine designs said my setup will be well in the forties close to 50 set up right so i hope it does 45 and has some run time , next year im going to switch to lipo packs too..

The Maritimo and Drifter L are similar, the Maritimo is almost 2" wider with slightly different handleing.
I'll be setting mine up for Direct drive, Mega 22 30, 3turn, 18-20 cells, x637-x640 prop with a Hacker 77 ESC. Only needs .150" cable, it's a light setup.
I havespecial H&M hardware, SAWEET. Pictures to follow when done.
Almost done the carbon fiber motor/servo frame, once that's done just glue it in and wire it up!

Sounds good, I didn't know they changed the hull. Your good to go with gears, very versitile. The 10 xl is a great motor for those cell counts.
I wish I wasn't so picky and slow at building, measure 2 billion times cut one....maaaaybe twice...

well yesterday i recieved the last part of the boat so i can use it , i ran her today andall i have to say is wow what a fast nice boat , the run time is about 5 minutes with 16 cells , i checked the temp is the boat the cells are running 145 degrees and the motor was 137 degrees so i think the setup maybe pretty good , when i first gave her a good shake down from a stop she jumped about a foot out of the water and took off from there ..

Sweet! Nice batteries man.
If you have one of those inexpensive Duratrax Temp guns like me, you may need to add approx 10 degrees to those figures. If you have the nice temp gun for about $60 as I have seen they are far more accurate. Just want to make sure your awesome project gets a great long life. Kudos, nice cat![sm=thumbup.gif]

it says the file no longer exists...
thats a cool setup, what kind of speeds do you get from it?
i didnt know you could get the drifter with a yellow gel coat...i thought it was just white or blue..
what do you use to keep the hatch down?
