Apparently, the post mine was directed at, along with the post that envoked the post I directed mine at have been removed by the mods, or whoever.
Nothing has been removed from this thread as I can see deleted postings. It could have been a site glitch as we've had a ton of those lately. I'll be glad when the new servers show up!

Now, back to out regularly scheduled program..............

They must check these things for leaks or something at the factory because i can see the marks where mine had hatch tape on it at one time.

Randy
They were taped shut. I open them before shipping to double check the parts are all inside and test shaft binding.

khmerfirexxx, I will be bringing a 31mm prop and one that is bigger than that but smaller than the one on the boats now. These are all plastic. The only non plastic I have is the X430 I spoke to above.

As far a how much amps the stock (provided) prop will pull? I guess we can test that with the logger as well.

Hey Guys,

Did you notice if your esc got a little warm while you had it pluged in to program it?

I noticed the top of mine got warm enough to slightly melt the shrink wrap away from the chip on both sides of the top chip ( I guess the bec) just having it hooked up long enough to set the esc for 3 cell lipo.

It seems to work properly as the steering works and I bumped the motor to make sure it is running in the right direction.
Boy I sure hope I don't have anything defective!

Well, it is foggy as hell here right now so I won't be able to test mine until later today if I can get away for a little while.

Well, we just got back from the pond. We were less than thrilled with a 3S lipo and it was not even close to 30 or 40 Mph... We did try a 4S 2000 pack and it was much better. The bad news is we flipped it out in the middle of the pond with in the first 30 seconds. on the 4S and spent the rest of out time waiting for the wind to bring it back in. With the stock prop on a 3S2100 pack we were only getting maybe 20 Mph and motor ESC and pack were not even warming up.

Were thinking it will be quite fun with a pair of 2S 1320 packs. Were going to order some and give it a go next weekend.

On another note the NEW GPS works good and I clocked 50.8 Mph on my Yellow SV27 on a 6S 4200 pack turing a P215 SS for some wicked power. I hit a wave or something @ close to full speed and looped it and bent the rudder.

My son is driving his new to him early Xmas gift (the green SV27)...

Fun Fun

Man that water was cold couldnt believe how cold it was.The outside temp was 50 degrees and both my hydro and John's sv27 was dead on water.but yeah on 3s was kind of dissapointing.4s and a x438 really got things going.I wouldnt say that it was a fast as on the video on minicatracing.com but it was pretty quick and then a gust of wind blew the hydro over.yeah 50.8 on Johns supervee.UNBELIEVEABLE.

I Just got back from running mine and I agree, It was very dissapointing on my 3s Apex 2100 lipos.
Speed was low, run time was low and it sure seemed to eat my lipos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in one sitting.

This thing must be drawing quite some amps for it to use up my 15c lipos as quick as it did. The motor and esc were not getting hot though.

I did like the way it handled but for sure I need a better battery solution than the lipos I use for my helis. I guess they need to hurry up and start making some 50c lipos available to us boaters.

Was your motor and esc handling the 4s pack pretty good? any heat issues?

Nope, I was running by myself and only had 2 hours to run 3 different boats in that time.

Had no camera with me to take any photos.

I like the boat, but I sure don't want to have to get even more batteries of different kinds just for it.
The main reason I bought it for that much money was because I thought I had batteries that would work well with it.
Well, we all know what happed to the guy that thought. [X(]

I guess I'll wait and see what others find to work the best before I buy anything else.

Steve, khmerfirexxx and my self are both "hydro newbies" but we did talk about adjusting it but never did. We will look into giving that a go. Just from looking @ the hardware I don't think it has much room to move. I guess it may be a fine line between good and not so good. Thanks for the tip and we will be sure to give some adjustments a go.

To answer your 2nd question I do beleave the ass end is dragging alot!

Thanks again,

Does anyone know if the esc and motor can handle 4s lipos as the instructions say 2-3 lipo. I wonder if you were lucky that you didn't burn the esc or motor when you used a 4s lipo or is it actually rated to handle it?

This I need to know as I will get a couple of 2s to pair together into a 4s if the electronics will handle it.
