OC,
Despite any imperfections that were pointed out, it looks fine. I'm learning quite a bit about the fine art of painting, and I have sanded and recoated both of the hatches for my OM29 many times already. Although some might find some morbid humor in your paint, I am beginning to see that it is not something that you 'pick up' overnight. I believe that it takes some amount of practice and more than a few attempts to get right.
If you learned anything from the effort, than it was successful. And you can also take some amount of pride in knowing that you started a task, and finished it.

Thank you Taylor. I knew I could count on you for the first knock. I've had nothing but comps on the job...until now. The windshield is fine. It's the camera that's crooked, or something, but I do see what your refering to....in the pic.
The hatch and top rails have been repainted after a BK9920 burn down on the first run on 16 cells. The speedo was suspect before luanch and I soon found out it was indeed on it's last leg. I just finish the next contestant on "will it hold the amps" and hope to get another test in the weekend after next with my 6s setup.

Duck, Although I've been painting bikes and trucks for years, it has indeed been a learning experience. One of which is that dime store rattle cans cannot hold a candle to professional quality automotive paint. Another finding is that there is no comparison between my well equipped garage and a heated down draft booth at work....

Oh, and one last thing. This ain't no "Shelf Queen". We beat the crap out of boats down here.... I just hope none of my buddies can catch up to this one. I'd like it to stay nice looking for a little while, anyway!
