OK, I know, enough already on the SV27! However, I ran mine today straight out of box with brand new DTx3800's. It is unbelievable to say the least. But hey, it doesnt take much to impress a newbee right? The hull had a bare minimum of water inside after a good 10 minute escapade. Now, I need to know how to adjust the prop angle pos/neg. I loosened the 2 screws on the side and it will not adjust up or down. Do I need to loosen the shaft (stuuffing box or whatever you call it)? Thanks

Before we can recommend how to tune it, we need to know how she ran. Personally, I adjust how the hull rides via the trim tabs, not the strut. You want it running as dry (most of the hull out of the water when the boat is on plane) as possible while still maintaining stability in the type of water you typically run in. There is a weathly of information in[link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4752309/tm.htm]this thread.[/link]

Thanks for the quick reply. It ran extremely well, cavitated a bit, then shot away in a hurry. The problem was coming back across the small ripples and on the straight aways it was hopping nose high alot. I will try the trim tabs first as you recommend. Overall, it handles well and cornered well and was a blast.

Is there any way you can get a video of the boat? Be sure to remove the trim tabs from the boat to tweak them. Bending them while they are on the boat isn't a great idea as it stresses the transom. Always make small changes in trim angle. A little goes a long way.
When you're ready, a prop upgrade will really wake the boat up.
