i just found a lehner basic 4200 brushless motor or a 5300 what one would be goof for my n2 rigger ?? its about 21 inchs are any of motors good for it and what one???? they are rated 6-10 cells im running in the ran either 6 sometimes 8

I'd run the 5300 on 6 cells. That should get you over 40mph I would imagine.

im not exactly sure wich one would be best, but the 4200 will give you just over 30,000 rpms (unloaded) on 6 cells and just over 40,000 on 8 cells...the 5300 will give you around 38,000 rpms on 6 cells and just over 50,000rpms on 8 cells..(all of these rpms are unloaded rpms)...ive never set up a rigger before, and im not sure weither motor will work better...but my guess would be the 4200....as the rpms arent too outrageous on 8 cells, but like i said, i never set up a rigger so i dont know wich would be better (more rpm or more torque)

You can get alot of imformation on rumrunnerracing on those motors if you do some searching through the search function. I had the 4200 and it was powerful but I used it in a kyosho bladerunner.

i have all the lehner series XL's and they are awesome.
use what you want they will take what you give it.

Alex. numbers seem to be your best friend. Stay away from that crap until you HAVE your set up don't base it off of numbers.

I don't understand why you would run a rigger on 8 cells. I run riggers for competition and you have the choice between 7 cells ( H1 rigger ) or 12 cells ( H2 rigger ).

I can tell you - that's for 7 cell use - to aim for about 4000 , max 5000 kv motors. Ifnot , you have to use way too large or too small props with all disadvantages that come with them like propwalking and more bad stuff .

pick the one you like best or try them both. If you try the 5300 you have to keep an eye on the battery and ESC temperature because they will get very very hot.

well cus i cant run 12 on this one its balsa wood and its only about 21 inchs long its almost like a micro rigger and plus im not in for the competition im just in it for fun I cant find any clubs aorund where i live the closet one is like 3 hours away

we are in the US and Canada we have different ways of doing everything.

I thinck it doesn't matter where you live. Unless it's for pure pleasure you should use 7 or 12 cells. The official rules are there weather you live in the US , Europe or even Bangladesh the rules are the same everywhere.

if you stick with 7 or 12 cells you can compare your boat's speed with other boats worldwide because almost everyone uses 7 or 12 cells . Just my opinion , nothing wrong with running 8 cells. I have nothing against being inventive or anything.

well in usa and canada its diff we run n2 hydro p offshore q offshore and so on its much different racing classes in some ways your right

i run a lehner 4200 on a y535/632/437(hydro setup)
all XL series.

ahh i see i have not got any 1/8th props or prop stubs im trying to stay in the 3/16 area lol

the only one that is 3/16th is the 637. and that is too big for your motor
go buy your self a 1/8th inch stub.

y536 isnt that much bigger then a y535 i could always shave the y536 down
