Ook im am goign to get into lipos slowly ok so when i get the new pack of lipos what should i do to get it ready to run it im my boat ?? Also Do i have to discharge them at all??

Maxamps is a great place to get them, maybe the hv 5000 will work good. No need to discharge them lipos.

2s has just 2 lipo cell in a series

2s2p has two cells in a series, but also has another 2 cells in parallel, so you still get 7.4volts, but the current capacity and mah of the lipo is doubled....

Always use 2P lipo's in a boat. never try just 2S !!! It will kill the battery.

Poly RC and flightpower are the best. I use Maxamps 3000Mah HV in 2S2P configuration and works great.

Just my idea. I use Maxamps with great result , but be easy on the C , for that he's right but it's the way he talks to people I don't like.
