I have bought the Miss Canadiana III as a kit. Are there anythings that you would build differently in a 2 nd boat ?
How about the Miss Supertest III ? The 31" version
Both will use brushless motors and DeWalt cells. How many watts are need for scale sport running? How many of 2300 ma cells should be used ?-------In each of the boats.

really there is nothing to change on these boats.
Build it and you will find out. we once received a complaint about how the models were sh*t. . . after talking to the guy for a while. we then realized this guy cant even figure out what side up is! LOL. that was the only problem we ever had with a customer. This man was never meant to build boats or anything for that matter
The kit is great Build it and you will find out.
As for power the miss Canadiana is a N2 boat, a good 05 roar car motor like 19 turn P2k or something will work great on 12 cells.
for the Miss super test a good 700 Brushed motor ( not out of your drill) such as a Graupner .84 volt or a sc700 from Offshore electrics will work awesome on 12 cells
what hardware did you get . . the scale drive kit or some other one ?

I have finished everthing but the top deck sheets. Thought this was a great time to make sure I knew what power was going into it. It weighs 24 ounces with a 2oz. BL motor an 4 B&D PVX cells @ 6 oz. = 12.8 volts @ 1100 mahr----good for 30C.
How many watts does this boat need for scale running ?

DeWalt cells? Are you talking about the cordless powertools batteries? How does that work as far as power/charging? I've heard of some people tryng to save a buck using them in cars but I was wondering how many amps and what kind of c rating can they provide? Also how do you charge them assuming you have to disassemble the packs?

Instead of trying to figure out ratios on drill batteries and the like-pause- now at 24 oz. 1 1/2 lb. ( quote- boat ) get a Monster maxx wild motor and then get a 11.1 lipo in the 3000mah range and use a 632 prop and go have a blast. Keep the boat light and use a brushed 45 amp esc, make a viceo. No i'm not crazy. I have 2 Mutineers with Speed Secret motors at $22.00 from tower at 40,000 rpm and a 632 prop on 6 cells and fly. They are heavier than your 1 1/2 lb. boat.

Thanks for the help.
I can not use LIPO.
I have converted all my planes to LIFEPO4 ---DEWALT -----Black & Decker PVX .
Into boats again. Shovelnose only.
Planes have well estabilished WATTS / POUND ratios covering anthing from Cubs to racing.
Boats are a different land to me. Are there general, watts / pound, for small Shovelnoses.
Scale running only is primary goal.
Most important. Where is a COG on a boat like this ?
I will post some shots of the batteries and chargers that are, for me, idiot proofed.

This is a completly automatic charger. Select the type of battery, and it takes over. I left the features page for reading. It constantly keeps posting the charge % of each cell while charging. I do not work for Cell Pro.

Hey man. . those cells are great I have a couple for receive repacks for my boats.
I think you will need to 3-4P those cells. 1100>ah is not going to get you a very good run time at all.
as for watts. . . The smaller Miss Canadaina is about 500 wats to run scale and the larger Miss supertest would do with 1000-1200 to run a good speed.
But thoes cells. . . you are going to need get at least 4 in series and then 4 in parallel to get ANY run time. so 16 cells total.
