Does anyone know of any higher end "electric" RTRs? I like the SV27 and the BJ 26, but was wondering if there are any that already come modded for more speed, better components, etc.....I'm actually looking for a "ready made" racer if there is such a thing. If not, could someone suggest a list of changes that can be made to the SV and BJ? I'm sort of involved as a spectator with a few friends but wanted to WOW them when I get the next chance on the lake.

the only limitation will be how much you are willing to spend...ARTR racers are spendy.
In the meantime, there are several threads with good hop-up ideas on both the SV27 and BJ26. The first post in "supertune your SV27" in particular is a gem for getting a start on speeding up the SV27.
Enjoy!

thanks for the info ctonez....I know it sounds like I just want to drop something in the water and go, but that's really not the case. More of my experience is in slot car racing and I really enjoy hopping them up. I plan to do work on whatever boat I buy. but I wanted to try and get something that already had a real good start to it......

honestly, from my experience (which is well documented on this forum), I'd tell you to get a SuperVee, as would many on this board (or BJ26, but I'm not a Catamaran-guy).
The SV27 was my first racing boat, and I just won 2 Championships with it last season. With a bit of tweaking and Lipos, you can easily run in the 40mph+ range, and in the club I race with some of the best races all year were in the SV27 Spec Class.
It also taught me a ton about what it takes to setup, run and modify a boat for regular racing...Now I'm moving up and building my own boats/buying some used stuff and modifying other boats for next year.
However, if you just want to kick all your friends' *****es, spend $1000 on a boat and a motor from Fuller's or Fine and call it a day. I'd get what they are all getting though, it's way more fun trying to outdrive someone with a comparable boat...that's why there are Classifications anyhow.
