Puff Puff.
It will work for a bit of time.
But a motor will take what it wants regardless.
I would not run that setup, Nor would any other person for that matter because of the dangers.

You run how you like lad, your simply wrong.
Paralleled lipos have been run many many times without problems.
You obviously dont know enough about electronics to realise.
Enough said on this matter.

are you a child? you sure act like one.

simply offering some advice to save some packs. a debate between two people and you get involoved and you bring the debate to a grade 2 level
If Brod wants to run his setup like that, By all means do, But you wont catch either me or any other FE racer doing that.

No im not but the wife tells me im like a big kid sometimes does that count ,i think he knows what hes doing mate i also read the link he posted seems the concensus on that was what Brod is doing is fine and in no way dangerous as you suggested. You came on here saying his boat wasnt running right and i disagree 100%.You stated how he was running his packs was dangerous,im not an electrical genious but ive just read that thread and i see nothing on there that supports what you are saying quite the opposite. For you to say you wont find any other fe racer running packs like Brod is doing is also a big assumption too as it seems plenty of people are running them like that wether you do it or not is up to you.

Anyhow,no worries bud.All boaters together[8D]
Took the boat again today to a nearer, smaller pond, really windy,my son couldnt hold the vid.still.Too windy i think.Reckon i snagged something on the prop[>:]
Watch the spray blast across the lake.Good fun though.
Again,interior bone dry.
I'll post the vid. when i've shrunk it.

Taylor it was very windy today.and choppy too.
A run in calm water should give the answer to us both.
4350 paralelled with 2200 both 3S makes a 6550 3S pack,both charged together.
Brod...
the way you have your batteries setup VERY DANGEROUS!!!!
DO not run the boat like that!, !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
if the C rating is the same you can get away with it for a run or 2 ... than puff puff on the 2200

also for windy and bad conditions. . . . that is what i'm saying. There hulls run VERY well in bad condition. race water is even worse and setup right they will run like they are on rails.
Paralleling packs of different capacity is no problem. Even if the 2200 pack had extremely high resistance overall pack resistance will be lower. Thus, the total resistance of the packs will be lower than the pack with the least resistance. (Adding the reciprocal of each packs resistance)

Cells in parallel configuration will always be trying to balance each other out in terms of voltage. This means batteries will drain in terms of percentage and not in terms of equal individual mAh per pack.

If the Packs were wired in Series it would be a much different story but this is not the case.

That's considered a micro at 29"? I need a small boat for the BL system I have in my mini-v. I was looking at a micro mogli aren't they like 14" is there any other small hull I could use for a feigao 380 16s @ like 2500kv and a 40 amp pulso esc? I;de like to run some small lipo's. I really don't have any preference for hull style, I like allmost all of them them.
Sorry for taking over your post but I seen micro and had to look thinking it might be a prospect until I seen on the link that they're 29"

If you want a nice micro Hydro to put all your Mini-v gear into try this hull, I bought one and its very nice for $57

Nice deltaforce hull, thats my review

I still need to build it...

Bit more video today with my son in control. He did well.
Heavy crosswind, but sheltered a bit where we stood.
This boat is my most reliable i have so far.Everything comes back cool.
Just finished a 29" Cat for him with a Mega 22/30/2 on 14 cells and a X440 prop.
A very cheap esc.from China came with the boat so i had to try it.Stated a 55 amp watercooled thing.
Burnt out after about 3 mins of mid only throttle.I was 90% certain it would but tried it anyhow.
It literally blew up! i'm surprised it didnt blow the hatch off!
I have another spare CC80 i'll fit for him and watercool it.
Will post some video when i get it sorted.
We should have some fun racing our 2 boats[8D]

Yours are not bargains Mart, their steals!
Something about these electrics,at least we can go to the St-Annes boat pool and run 'em there.
Sams will be well quick, run times wont be too good though. But ok.
At about 1/2--2/3 throttle, which Jack runs most of the time,i worked it out on a 10 minute run at about 23 Amps average.
These MegaMotors are good motors.

Well ran it today with a normal size servo that will teach me to plug batterys in the right way ,yup burnt out the mini servo.boat was running not bad till it just stopped cant find out why.Just no power getting to motor or servo yet the rx works in independant test so no probs there must be the esc?.No vissible signs of anything wrong though.Anyway heres a short video of it in some wind and a bit of chop.

Mart, check for a 'dry' or broken solder joint on your batt-esc. connections.
Dont know how good your soldering skills are?
I used to design and build exotic valve amplifiers and i've had the occasional bad joint.

no mart, one of the wires from the motor off wouldnt stop the built in bec work,ie the servos would still work, and i think you said yours didnt?
Check your batttery connectors again tonite. If it dosnt work.i'll pick it up later in the week when i'm passing and check it all over for you.

Yup,sounds like the esc's toast[X(]
be careful now with that battery, once they puff, they'll do it again very easy.
A lipo fire is no joke, once they ignite, they are like a firework.
bad luck..
