Default Upgrading?

hi everyone

ive had my Nikko Fireboat for some years now (its a deep v-hull, modeled on some sort of day cruiser i think?, the hul has been used several times as the "Sun Pacific", the "Fireboat" and the "Dolphin")

ive modified it a little, added a prop from a Nikko Searay and removed the water cannon and pump to make it sit higher in the water but i want to get a little more speed out of it. i know its only really a toy, but i dont want to add super-high capacity ESC's and LiPo's, just maybe squeeze a little more performance out of it and if it goes Pop then so be it!

as far as its workings go its pretty standard, stock PCB, stock brushed motor (380 size i think) and stock steering servo/solenoid running off an old 900mah 9.6v NiCd pack

any ideas?

thanks and regards

Steve
