Default shcokwave range

are the shockwave 26's know to be kinda glitchy pass 30-40 sometimes at 100 ft or so it drives it self if i replace the radio with a traxxas radio fix this

I'm not familiar with those radios but make sure the receiver wire is away from motor,esc,or moving metal parts.Check your batteries and hold transmitter so antenna is vertical.Do a range check without motor running and see how far you can go.If all else fails,anoyher radio wouldn't hurt!
