well the speedo is good for 6amp cont. 9amp peak the motor is I want to say .2 amp no load but the esc is for a 10800kv brushless.I did all the math on paper and in theory (and I use that term loosely)it should work so you guys quit making me nervous(lol) and wish me luck I,m headed out to give it a maiden voyage in about 30 min. I,ll get the wife to get a vid so wish me high speeds and lots of luck

well just got back and the wife will upload the vid after dinner but all in all an 8" boat doing any were from 15-20mph 20min run on 300mah 7.4v lipo esc never got warm motor got slightly warm but there is no cooling so I would expect some heat but over all I tripled the speed of the boat from would not plane out to will not stay on the water and it still handles great only went upside down once and that was jumping little waves and the wind picked it up and tossed it so overall it went great[sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=biggrin.gif]

I had the weight wrong the batt was against the transom running up the hull should have been a little bit further forward I,ll tune on a day when I can tell if it,s cog or wind/waves

good work on the mods, i think you're spot on with wanting to move the weight forward a bit, but motor, ESC and batts seem to be well suited to the hull. You need flatter water to really give it the beans though ;-) your girl's a keeper btw - mine won't shoot vids unless i plead for days on end...

well about to go to a different lake (flatter water) and get some more footage and a couple shot of my mini cat I also moved the batt foward on the itty bitty boat so hopefully a little more speed but the prop is still junk and I,m waiting for the 4 blade it,s on back order[&o]

RE: kyosho mini-z catamaran total mod
Hi animal nut!!
Saw your video and got really excited. I have a mini-z catamaran as well and want to do the same mod you have. What parts do I need to make it faster but more importantly.... longer run time. What parts should I get? ...and where do you buy your parts?
So thankful for your help!!
/hampus (only have a stock version of the mini cat)
