Default Dumas Hotshot 3.5 to electric?

I have a Dumas hostshot 3.5 and was thinking about converting it to electric. Can this be done? and would it be worth it? I want to use it at a local pond but the noise from a nitro wouldn't be welcome.

I'm not positive but I think these folks will have what you need. http://www.drcwebservices.com/ffe/hardware.htm

Purchase the above lower unit from fullers and also get the square drive coupler. Purchase the SV 27 power system from offshore electrics along with an X640 or X642 prop. Your old 3.5cc prop should also work well.

Use the mount that mounted your 3.5cc engine to the hull whether it would be a Dubro or Hi-Jack. Mount the motor to the lower unit making certain the screws are not too long to damage the motor.

Use 4s Lipo or 2-2s Lipo's. When purchasing cells, make note of the dimensions and available space.

This setup will get you over 40mph. A stock K&B3.5cc nitro engine runs around 34mph.

Thanks for the info guys.

Did a search and found this:
https://shop.graupner.de/webuerp/servlet/AI?ARTN=2370

they also sell it without motor and was thinking I could put the SV 27 brushless motor in it. I like it because it looks scale but has anyone tried using this graupner outboard?

Yes, I've used it. It won't hold up.

Use the setup linked.
