Default Wild Thing question

I'm contemplating building the Rc BoatModelers planned Wild Thing.I know its set up for 3.5 nitro but,,,lets say I wanted to convert it to brushless/LiPo for a fast fun sport runner. What would be suggested electrics and driveline gear.I've owned several rc boats from a Whobbies team XP to several smaller nitro and electrics.Just havent messed with brushless/LiPo's yet.Would it be feasable or be a wasteful money pit and should give up now and never have such foolish thoughts again[&o]. Thank you for any info.

Default RE: Wild Thing question

The Wild thing is a sweet boat and will run well with any form of power. I scaled one down and put an .18 in it. That thing rips, and goes exactly where you point it. I would love to have one that is electric. You'll just need to know how big the boat is going to be. Somebody here with more knowledge than I, will tell you which motor and ESC to use and on how many cells.

...but no, not a foolish thought. To me, a foolish question or thought would be...Which RTR to buy? You've already got the right mindset, build your own.
