Default Reciever Pack??

I have heard of people running reciever battery packs instead of using the feed from the regular batteries in the SV27 brushless, anybody doing it? It would be nice not to have the speed control not cut all power and have to relearn when the volts come back up in the middle of the lake. I can't hear the beeps out there.

In all the times I've run my SV (and that's alot) I've never had the scenario happen which you've just described. In fact, I'm not sure what exactly you are describing...do you mean when you run your batteries all the way down? If that were the case, a reciever pack won't do you any good anyway.
Either way...there is no need for a reciever pack...with a reciever pack you run more of a chance of losing control of the boat because your reciever pack is low than the chance of whatever you are describing happening without one.

all in, it sounds like you have a loose connection somewhere.

I think that's for battery packs with a higher voltage that will fry the ESC.
