Default Blizzard Outrigger turnfin mounting??

HI,
I bought a Blizzard outrigger a while back and am at the point where I need to mount the turnfin. Just curious if someone has some pics or info on how to do this?
Pics would be appreciated
Thanx, Tom

Does the fin on that hull need to be behind the sponson or on the sponson. I can't remember where it runs best.

drop the strut and throw on a lifting prop and you will have no need for them

okay. why does the one motor say 9Xl?
a 9 XL is WAY to large for the blizard.

Tom that boat was designed with a carbon spar that mounted to the right sponson and put the fin about 1.5"-2" behind the sponson.

Hulls are hulls, they don't know what source of power is powering them. Personally I would add rear sponsons if possible.

Here is a pic Tom

I never ran rear shoes on a FE rigger, if you plan on racing I hear they are good to have though.

Ray,
How is the Carbon Fiber piece attached?
Just screwed in?
Do I need to put inserts into the sponson?
Can you get me a close up pic?
Thanx , Tom H.

Tom, sorry but that isn't my boat, but yes it is just screwed in to the sponson. I used some coarse wood screws on mine.

Here are some pics of my turnfin attached..
I epoxied the carbon fiber piece to the sponson and then after curing I put in two wood screws to make sure it won't move.
I elongated the back bolt hole on the fin itself so Turnfin can be adjusted or angle.
Hope it works..

Ray,
I used these pics for reference also.
It said in the article that the CG should be about 1 3/4" behind the sponson, So I put the turn fin in this area.
Will see how it goes soon
