Default mini receivers- surface use

I need to find some mini receiver's for surface use. Or is it not a big deal if you use an aircraft designated radio system? Places I would boat there is no r/c planes ever, for sure... is it illegal to do this?

If anyone has E bay or web links it would be helpful. Models makes work well to.

In the US it is illegal to use Aircraft frequency (72mhz) systems for surface use... and surface use frequency (75mhz) systems for Aircraft use. Unless you use 27mhz.

Me too. Great receiver and very small. I have them in all of my boats from my 13" Gecko to my 45" gas Vee.

I use the XS3 Pro radio and an RS310 in each of my rcs.
They're about the same price - sometimes you can catch a deal on the bay.

I use spektrum dx7 air remote and receivers... no issues for glitching or affecting others. This is the way all radios should be, so you just have one system for everything.

the lightest receiver is the a6100 i think, 2grams, works on water, haven't done a range check seeing that it's just for my jet drive boat.
