Default Hydro Or Vee? For Pond?

Hi there. New to the site. We have a pretty good size retaining pond in our development and are wanting to get some RC boats to run around in it. The water is generally pretty calm to still unless it's windy. Would I be better of with a Hydro or a Vee bottom boat?

If that's the case, I would say it is up to you. Which do you prefer? How much speed are you looking to achieve? What size of hull are you looking for? Any budget?

I like the looks of both. I am new to this so I just didn't know if with the usually calmish water if one would be better of the other. The pond isn't super huge but definitely good enough to get up to speed and still be able to maneuver. I see lots of electrics on eBay but you never know what you are getting there. I saw one guy who had an electric hydro and linked to a video of a nitro.

I started with a hydro (Miss Vegas) then moved to the supervee 27!I personally like the hydro better! It handles better (IMO) and turns better! Even though the supervee might be able to take rougher waters (I still dont see it) the performance of it lacks a little in handling and cornering! I converted the miss vegas to electric and love it much more than the SV27! They are both fun though so, if you have the chance of getting an electric hydro I go would go for that, if not get a v-hull (SV27)

my .02 cents!

The SV does NOT handle better than the Vegas, even in rough waters.

I am a Hydro guy myself, nothing against vee hulls but Hydro's are just my preference. I think Hydro's are a bit my finicky to setup but seeing 4 or 5 of them flying around the pond is impressive for sure.
