My Boat Picture.
First off, very nice plate! I also like the weatherstripping idea. Is that a water pick-up next to the nozzle, can we get a pic from the other side of the transom?

Yes, I'm thinking the combo in post 412. I would be running either on calm water or my creek along the yard which does not flow terribly fast after the spring run off. Do you think with that combo, Stick with the 2450s or 2600s OR drop down a bit for wt. I like run time, but don't want it too nose heavy either
Since you'll be running 2s, you can afford to go with the 2600's. Sdg

that is one super-slick boat.

any chance you have extra ride plates (whatever the piece on the bottom is called, i think it is a ride plate) that you would be willing to sell? those are amazing looking.

also, do you have a metal propeller/impeller? or is the sticker just there to support the company?

Yep, slickest ride plate I've seen in a while. Looks store-bought. I'm curious about the motor blocks - were you getting some flex (movement) with the stock method? And it seems a shame to have something protruding beneath the hull of a jetboat (water pickup) - just something to get hung up or broken off (like a prop!). But it looks like it will get the job done to be sure. Protect that impeller with a grate/mesh and you won't need to make many more impellers. Great pics - please post videos if you can! Sdg

1. I like the ride plate you made
2. Why the wood motor holders?
3. An intake grid will save your impeller from damage
4. Please show us some movies of your boat

Your English is better than my Thai, which reminds me of a drink (I couldn't resist). Sdg

Velcro might be a little sketchy for a servo ( movement ) Might be better to hard mount or hot glue.

I can't help but notice how some people ask lots of questions (don't want to bother with reading previous posts?), gets lots of good answers, and then do something completely different. [sm=71_71.gif] My wife has a friend that's like that. We get a kick out of it.

My observations on proper servo mounting in order of good to bad:

1. Adjustable mount secured with fasteners (pop rivets, screws, bolts/nuts etc): easy to adjust/remove/reuse
2. Same mount secured with ca, hot glue, epoxy, etc. : secure, but more difficult to remove
3. Double back foam tape - tenacious, not adjustable: have to cut it off to remove, then remove adhesive with solvent
4. Hot glue - good adhering, not adjustable: can pry off if needed: need glue gun
5. Double sided tape (carpet tape) - easy to install, adheres well: can pried off but with possible damage to servo/plastic hull
6,7,8 - yada, yada
9. Velcro - does not hold well or long - allows movement of servo: Easy to install/remove

I'm going to back ryanwilson on this one. If he kept the original servo mount/clamp setup and put velcro on both the top and the bottom, I could see that holding a servo really well. It will have positive pressure from the top and bottom clamping the velcro and the servo. My guess is if the servo is big enough to fill the space well, it's not going anywhere.

Innovation happens all the time, keep your eyes open or you'll miss it.
