Default Super Vee 27 Rudder Question

I have read several threads saying the stock rudder is good but when I trim mine out there is not much

Rt turn left and there is a whole lot of loose play in the static position which I think is part of the

problem. Is this rudder suppose to have so much play in it?

I may be miss understanding the problam , but it sounds like you need to recenter the servo remove the servo arm reset your trim tab than reattach the arm.

Some times picturs are worth a thousand words. My servo arm is centered and my rudder link

arm is centered but look how much play there is to either side. Is this normal?

i had this problem on my nitro sv27..its juts a matter of tightening up the two little allen screws that hold the rudder tight....if you turn the rudder all the way you can see two very small screws ..they are probably loose....if yopu tighten these up your rudder will be solid...mine is good..eveyr once in a while you have to go through every little screw and nut and retighten them down...the vibrations and constant beating the water ..things loosen up..

good luck

Thanks suprapilot, my SV has been like this from the beginning so just imagine how much better

my steering should be after I find those screws.

Yes I found the hole but there was no set screw in it, I did find a 3mm hex head bolt that works but was to

busy putting up x-mas lights to try the SV out today. I know I need to straighten out my priorities.

I will let you know how it goes maybe tomorrow.Have a good one.

First good weather we have had in a while so I took it out, not suprisingly the boat handles like a different boat.

Thanks for your help suprapilot.
