Hi All............OK here is my situation. I am new to the RC boat world and I am interested in purchasing a RC "fast" boat. I know nothing about these things. I am looking to spend between $200-$300 dollars total. Is there anything in this price range that is decent. Should I buy used? I have been doing some research and it looks like most of these setups DO NOT come with batteries and chargers so when its all said and done I am up to $400 for anything that gets a good review. I have a beach house that I will be keeping this boat and using it possibly on weekends if that much at all, so I dont want to invest too too much money, but also dont want something cheap that if I do enjoy the sport I will be wanting a newer, faster, better boat immediately. Can someone or thankfully a few people open there minds and help me out? Thanks
The new guy

You cant go rong with the supervee 27, its good for beginers and pros, and with only some slight adjustments
it can realy fly, it will be more than your $300 limit but if you shop around on ebay etc they do come along quite
cheap you can even get one new on there for a good price. Then you just need a set of descent cells and a charger
and your away, i recomend the hobbico dual peak charger, its cheap, does two packs at once at 5amps, something
like that is all you need to get started. As for cells log on to cheapbatterypacks.com on there you can make up your
own packs pick the cells etc and they are good quality cells for a cheap price.
You can buy cheaper boats than this but at the end of the day brushless power is where the fun begins.

I would buy a Super V 27 then.
I would also buy a used one.
You can get a used one with batteries on another forum I visit for less thana new one. Sure its used, but its ready to go out of the box- and for less than new. Even the RTR's need some tweaking work before running.

Thank You Very Much Fellas. How does this Super Vee 27 compare to the Traxxas Villain Ex? They are similar in price but looks like the the Traxxas has 2 550 motors. And what exactly does the term "brushless" mean in terms of RC motors.
