cooling with fuel pump?
hi
i got it now i think i am going to use this and i going to wire it with a 6 volt resisteror from the esc which is feed 12 volts,http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...?&I=LXDES1&P=SM this is the esc http://www.modelcontrol.com/sc480.htm so that the pump works when the motors work to pump water though the cooling tubes , will this setup hurt the esc or pump,i try this one but it wasnt putting out enough i think the wire that i was using which is the same gage as the Sullivan wasnt enough for this pump ,i am not going to be going fast enough to push water though the tubes this boat is a large cabin crusier 48" and is going to have moving dolls on the rear deck and a ipod music with speakers ,check it out on youtube ptboat84 all one word its my web page for all my rc stuff thanks rye

RE: cooling with fuel pump?
Hi Rye,
Keep in mind most fuel pumps are not designed for continuous operation, running it on a lower Voltage will surely help keeping the (pump)motor temperature down, but keep an eye on it anyway.
Even if you're not going fast, with intakes behind the props and a suction outlet, you should have flow through the cooling system, without a pump, even when just crawling along...
Regards, Jan.
