i just saw this thing on horizon hobbies. i have been looking for a new boat that i can run off my 3 cell lipos and is stable. i watched the video and it seems to pass the rough water test. it says it is 2 cell lipo ready. however when you click on parts and it lists the esc it says it is a 12.5v esc. does that mean that i can run 3 cell lipos? maby they are just saying 2 cell lipos because the motor kv is a little higher. but if i switch it out for a slightly lower kv motor it should be fine. right?

I see what you mean, it says 12.5 volts, thats an odd voltage rating though, i would call proboat and ask a tech to make real sure. Also, if you can run a 11.1v lipo, a 30 amp esc seems kinda weak from what im used to seeing. Call them to make sure, even then you may want to upgrade to a 60 amp marine to keep it cool.

the other thing is my batteries have about a 170amp drain on them. is that going to be a big problem. sorry for the dumb questions but im use to running trucks that i put castle esc's in that can handle just about everything. i never have to worry about much. their marine esc's are a lot of money and i cant afford them.
