Nope nothing special to do for lipos in boats... I actually used two hobby king 2 cell 5,000 mAh lipos in my proboat brushless formula fastech... great power and great reliability as long as I had the boat... with any lipo's (plane or boat) when I start actually noticing the power loss I land the plane or bring the boat in... don't wanna run lipo's low!

depending on the boat, if you run it till the boat slows it could be to late [:-]

if you don't have a LVC what is the best way to keep you from ruining the lipos?<div>
</div><div>I just ordered 2 Turnigy 5800mAh 25C packs to run parallel in my Villian IV. 7.4V and 50C, I better get the cooling kit on it too.</div>

time your runs, start with like 4 min and then check your voltage, next try 5 min and so on until you reach a time where the voltage is just about too low. ( my cut off is at 3.3 v per cell) once you know how long you have to run you time all of your runs and stop when you get to that magical number. Or you could just spend the 20 bucks on a lipo cut off and not have to worry about destroying your new $35? batteries

bro I usually time my runs.. most never longer than 4 1/2min depending on boat and what prop I'm using
most of my FE boats, if I've run 5min its to long of a run on my batteries
I try not to let the batteries go below 20% of their capacity
so a 5000mah pack I don't let more than 4000mah go through it
