I have a super vee 27 boat and love it. I am thinking of upgrading to a 2.4 system. I am also thinking of rc flying in the near future. Is there a suitable rx/tx system I could use for both air and water? Any and all sugestions appreciated.

I was under the impression that surface and 3D are kept seperate for a reason. If you can get a system that will satisfy you for 20 bucks (and I didn't say that you can) you may as well keep them seperate.

Thanks for your input.
I guess I'll keep the two different types of models separate.
The HobbyKing model looks intriguing for the price.....

HI :
I own 3 frsky accst combos i in a Micropro 8000 and 2 wating to be installed i am very impressed with the ease and stability of them.
I have followed the RC Modlereview articles and saw a dynamic quality in the Frsky
units

Yes the one I was talking about is not for planes.
There isnt one control that will work for both- two very different beasts.
I have two of the HK radios and 3 receivers as of now.
$20 for the whole setup and then you can buy multiple receivers to use in other models for under $7 each. Simply can not be beat.

I bought one of these last winter for a sailboat. After about 3-4 hrs of use I can say I have had no issues with the radio. The radio I bought is a version one and I see they are now selling the version 2 for less than I paid for the older version ($28.95/$22.95). Not saying they are better or worse than any other, just saying it has worked well for me. It will work for an airplane or boat(if you can use a stick radio for your boat).
