Hi All
Went to charge my batteries. Had not used them in months. They charged very quickly (or so I thought). When I got to the water. It ran for 2 secs. Lucklily it didn't get too far away! But why did this happen? Did the batteries go bad? Ther are 3300 MaH Nimhs
Thanks for any input

If you use an auto peak detect charger, old batteries that have sat for a long period of time, especially NiMh will self discharge. They get down to almost 0%. The charger is then fooled into thinking it is like a 4 cell pack rather then a 6 or more. The batts will act like they have a full charge but they do not.<div>
</div><div>Cycle the batteries a few times and they will regain some capacity. You may need to put them on a trickle charge for an hour or so to get em started. They most likely will not hold 3300mAh anymore. Sound like a good time to upgrade to Lipo from HK!</div>

I had some IB racing cells that would dump like that in a few weeks. The voltage would come up very rapidly and the charger would stop. You may have to hit start a few times before it starts to put some real juice in them.
