Default Red Evo Twin Brushless

Just ordered one of these from HK:
http://hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store...ng_Boat_(570mm)

Looks like its the same boat as Venom sells (MissExcite) for over $300.....will post a review if anyone wants it, when Iget it in the water (hopefully a week or two)
Anyone have this boat?If so, let me know your thoughts....

Thanks!

Yes, that is what I am thinking! Going to run it stock and see how she goes.....thinking it might need some weight to avoid flipping (thinking the 5,000mah batteries will be best)

Great boat, great price! Hull alone from OSE sells for $85. This one is finished nicely.

I still want the 25" Cat though...

Ishould have one up in a few weeks (provided it gets here in time), will post it to this thread.
Did you see this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30iw8aC6w
Looks like the same boat, not sure what motor/battery/prop combo they are running vs the stock HKone.

OK, so she has arrived!  Very nice boat.  Same HULL as the Excite by Venom.
Some notes - Hull is very nice, paint job is very nice.  Servo and motor mount are very stable (not zip tied etc).  Has a nice turn fin as well (should help with handling).  Did a test run in the bathub, minimal amount of water after sitting in there for 30min (maybe a few drops)

Should get her out in the water in a day or two.....if she handles well, this is a steal for the price.  You simply can beat a fiberglass hull like this, with a brushless motor and esc for under $140.

You might be right, but I can tell you this is the exact same hull as the EVO

they both come from the same place
venom makes nothing... they put their name on others products and sell as their own [:-]

Very cool!
I have several 2200mah 3s packs that I could wire in parallel to make a 3s 4400mah pack
Ohhhh I need one of these little guys!

Ok, so had my maiden voayge with this boat.
Ran 2650Mah for about 10min.  Boat handles extermely well for a hydro...almost flipped it once come out of a full throttle left hand turn (has a turn fin for optimal right hand turns).  Other than that I could run full bore and not even come close.  Had 15mph winds too, didn't matter.
Would like to say I hit 40, but I think its more like 35mph out of the box (box says 40plus, but I am not so sure....).  Its very fast for a stock boat, just don't think its 40mph.....
Taking her back tomorrow, trying a different pack, see if it makes a difference.

Great boat though.  Very little water in the hull, handles well for a hydro and is very fast......

Gonna try and get a vid soon, need to get a buddy of mine out there!
