Eco Thread

Hello i am Alex,
there are no threads for eco boats, so i thought i would start one.
if you have an eco boat please introduce yourself and say what eco you have and some pics if you have them.
So please all eco people post here and let me know you exist.

RE: Eco Thread

Alex, I think the reason that you aren't getting any replies is that eco boats and eco class racing is a British (:D) and European idea and (I think) it doesn't happen in America, where most of these people are from. Sorry

But ..the photos

1 link ..are very explicatives..do you need learn German? i think..no.

2 link in spanish..men..the same ..the photos are very explicatives.??

for ..in the fluke channel you have two options.....

1 fluke channel full submerged whitout air...only one or two or three fronts inputs water

and back out.(sorry for my poor english).See all phots AGAIN...you can see the angle of entry of water...and in front goes in intake and when the take out put goes more donw thas entry and goes from right to left.First to compensate the nm of motor(par motor)
the boat goes in line(directo ..o recta...)and (no cabecea)the front dont go´s up and donw. All this WHITOUT TURN FIN or FLAPS.Only whit the desing of the donw face o boat.

2 mode of Fluke channel .

Surface open intake of water and opened channel up of the boat and back.....only i see this mode for anthoters boat whit more cells.the windows opened are for fast water out ??
or the windows whit or whitout water ..works???

i am studing this mode again..

UN SALUDO

I race with the [link=http://www.swambc.webeden.co.uk/]SWAMBC[/link] in the South West of England, we have two ECO classes, this years specs were - F3 any stock 19turn single 540, 6 sub-c max 3300mAh, direct straight drive, no metal props (Graupner 2318.29 or 2327.29), 5mins, M course. F2 is a more open class for any brushed 540 motor, gearbox's, flexis, any 6 sub-c, metal props etc. Next year we will replace F2 with ECO Expert to Naviga rules.Attached are some pictures of my race winning Falcon ABS hull, known as the "Mad Cow".

More info and images are on our [link=http://web.ukonline.co.uk/alan.shipman/boats.htm]website[/link].

You could try the BAT plan from Traplet

https://sslrelay.com/s84068217.onean...dex.shopscript

Product catalogue - scroll down to Construction Plans - Marine - Powerboat - The Bat

We have built two so far...

Bat 1 built as plan as a test-bed ECO Expert, fitted with a 19T single, 6 GP3300's and 2318.28, 2318.31 or 2327.29 prop, very fast but unstable, barrel rolls, hooking in turns and very fast submarine impression, it was retired after one to many heavy impacts with the bottom of the pond !

Bat 2 is 20% scalled up, fitted with a Mega 22/20/2 and running 7 IB4200's and flexi drive, only one test run so far with a 2318.33, very fast and a lot more stable, not self righting, so we are going to stick an airplane canopy on top for the next test run.

RE: Eco Thread

what propeller would you recomend for a 1.3kg, 20 inch eco hull?
i have a 35mm prop and a 29mm prop but have yet to test the 29mm prop as motor and esc is getting fixed by the shop as was playing up.
thanks
