help i need a battery guy
 
hi
i am going to need help on picking batterys for two 900 viper xxl motors i dont know how much amps they pull but i like to use two
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LC3078&P=1 for each motor it will be moving a 5' 8-9 lb pt boat how would i hook this up though a speed controller ,i am new to battery power and need help ,i cant afforrd pio-ply batterys they say i need 3 big ones each motor at 116.each[X(] any help on this thanks

those battery's wont do.

a 900 will put about 60 amps . your going to need to run a min of 12 cells each motor and one esc for each motor.

2 of these per motor

yes you can use one of them
Peter Richards is one of my good friends and the MCD esc's are very good
That esc has run two 900 motors with out a problem !.

oh HAHA . i forgot about that
ok well if you want the most volts for the most speed hook them up in series you will get 14.4 volts at 3800 MAH
if you want a good run time then hook them up in parallel for 4600 MAH at 7.2 volts

yes that is for parallel. and you will get 7.2 volts at 4600MAH

P109. we have many of them in our club
one has 3 550 motor on one of the SC480 esc's with 2, 8 cells in series. and the motors are in parallel

this boat is 5' about 9 lb with out the batterys how who you do it only 2 900 motors for speed or long runs i want to get up on plain with it ,rye

i know the boat. they are all the same length.
I would suggest a gell cell "lead acid " battery.
of around 4.5 ah( 4500mAh) and around 12 volts
that one battery would do the job
