RCU Forums - BBY Oval Master 21 Build Thread

Yo. Building this boat, thaught I would have my own build thread. I wil be taking pics step by step, and I am sure I will have some questions too. I just got time to start it tonight and did'nt get much done as I don't have a drill handy (it's at work).

I got the transom doubler glued in, The hull edges sanded so the top deck and bottom deck fit nice and tight, The motor coupler put on the motor :eek: ;) Not much building but this is my first so I am taking it slow.

I am using a Mamba Max 5700 Motor and a Barracuda 80 ESC, and a Octura x432 prop finished by yours truly. Standard is gonna be 6 IB3800's, and just for fun I am building a 8 cell pack to see if it's not to heavy for this 21" rocket.

I dig it. It's a real neat boat. In the newest issue of RCBM you can read that someone set the SAW record for N-2 Mono with this hull, Novak GTB ESC, Novak 4.5 Motor, and a x432 prop. He hit 45.2 MPH. So I am hoping mine does 35 MPH :eek: Should be a little rocket I hope [8D]
