Cheers Samuel,
not easy for anyone in this period. At 30 I was a strong manager of nice company, but got fired some months ago - and not for my fault- now still looking out for opportunities!

All the Propshop props are supposed to be balanced and sharpened. Look good to me, but have not tested them yet

I will see how they are, and improve them if necessary.
These will have to do for some time, 190GBP worth of props...

What all did you have to buy, as I have 4 builds to do, and are using inlines with a clutch and gearbox with a 16% over drive, from http://www.wd200-modellbau.de/?Antri...kbarer_Antrieb
I know i have to order parts from MHZ.. ust not sure what all I will need

On my boat I am using the same gearbox, but with 1:1 gear ratio. This boat will be a rough water rider, and it needs all the torque possible!
You are not compelled to buy parts from MHZ, but they do have some unique scale parts. Among my order, the most interesting are the fuel cap+vent system and the brass tube holder system, both awesome.
I also purchased the water pumps, auto bailer and cowl locks from them, but these parts are easely available near you for sure.
For a detailed list of my build parts list, please look at the first page of this discussion, you will find all!

Question:
I need a new Propeller Balancer for these 1/4 big boys (65mm+ diameter). What is the best on the market in your advice?

Ok, I got the large magnetic balancer, it is a model from Top Flite.
Have been working on the 6717/3 series of props for the last couple of hours.
Been sharpening and balancing with the aid of small metal files and sand paper (400 and 600 grit).
This Stainless Steel PropShop used for the propsis really a hard metal to work with, it's taking ages even just to sharpen them.
Am tented to use the Dremel...
Posting a couple of pics to show you the small bubbles in the material, just as I received the props. It is not possible to get them to go away without taking a LOT of material away from the props, so I am leaving it for now.
What do you say?

Had already read that content, very interesting.
Did you ever see them bubbles on a prop? I saw them before, but not so big and many...

Hi yea seen a few props like that mate thats what i meant by bare props, they seem to do minimal work on them. When compaired to the ones from a good prop man its a night and day difference. If you dont want to do it yourself you could allways send em to a good prop man to do them for you.Chris aka dasboata would be a good guy to try.

Just finished the first couple of props, it took me 5 hours for two, but the result is good ;-)
(you know how precise I am...)
The paintjob should be perfect, will be this professional guy to do it: http://ciskoaerografia.blogspot.com/
I have received the stickers, that are now perfect after I had them re-made twice!

RE: **Cigarette Racing Apache AMG replica - BUILD**
Today I received the two exhausts, and their various accessories... Will get the header pipes with the drives from RCMK.
I will have the exhausts covered with this Silicone spray film, a very good product I use on the real race cars in order to keep the engine bay temperatures down.
With this easy modification, my goal is to further diminuish the running temperatures within the hull, as hot air means less density = less performance from the engines.

HEAT WRAPS and COATINGS (for mechanical parts)
It works very well, I use it on the really well on real cars (race). The wraps make your exheust go rusty, and they go hard, then demolish over time. Also, if youput too much on the exhaust, you risk cracking the solderings, because of too much heat.
This spray is a chemical coating that offeres carefree installation and REALLY works, just about like the wrap.
I have it on the exhaust of the 390bhp Audi S3, living under the car for more than a year (snow, sea, etc.) and still perfect!
Also various cars I drove in the Italian Rally Championship used it in diverse spots.
The principle is the same of ceramic coating: the best in the world is Peter Whyman, owner of Zircotec (as seen in F1): www.zircotec.com/page/-_performance_white/41
You can send him your parts, but it will cost you, lol!
