protect your investment and buy a brand that has been tryed and tested
if you can afford a 42" gas boat another $100-$172 shouldnt break the bank!

You can have your Futaba but I do have a friend whos Futaba glitches once in a while. I am not saying Futaba is bad or something you have to get lucky with but if you look where I play which is literally under some major powerlines, you would realize I should have problems. If you also watch the video, I noted the far East area is where everyone glitches which I know very well when I use to have myJR XS3 Progear.

Also note that I have 3 boats and 5 -1/8 scale nitro land models on the $50.00 FS-GT3B 3CH radio with a 10 Model Memory. I feel so confident with the Fly Sky radio gearthat I bought their TGY9X 9CH 8Model Memory Flight Radiowhich also only cost me $50.00 because I just started flying my profile F22 jet with no glitching problem.

My radio does not interfere with anyones radio nor does my friends radio interfere with mine. Not bad for $50.00 each complete with a transmitter. Additional transmitters are 10.00 each.

FS-GT3B 3CH radio with Receiver at $50.00+ 7 additional receivers at $10.00 each ($70.00) = $120.00 shipped to run my fleet of 8 models compared to higher priced Futaba or other name brand. My favored brand is Fly Sky. You decide...

By all means Futaba is great. I have a 6ex I race my boats with and fly with. We now have 8 Fly Sky transmitters in our club with 3 more changing from JR xs3's. Must say very nice little transmitter and for the price you can not go wrong.

I like my Futaba 3PMFASST... but after holding a Flysky in my hands, and checking it out... it does not appear to be too bad of a radio. The boat it ran in didnt seem to have any issues on the water, and on water ive seen quite a few FM radios have issues on.

Hard to beat the price of them, especially the recievers. I will probably pick one up at some point... but ill use it for my onroad cars/trucks.. stick with my FASST system in the boats.

If your looking for Fly Sky. Check out this site. As low as $19.30. I thought a cheap price was gona be a junk radio. But I bought the $19 buck one. It works as good as a $100 radio. DSM too.http://www.hobbypartz.com/flyskytxrx.html watch thishttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3WiSJ...layer_embedded

What i have yet to find... maybe im overlooking it...is how many channels does it hop around on? Is it like Spectrum where it only goes to a select few...or is it like Futaba where it is constantly changing over a wide range?

The FS-GT3B 3CH 2.4 Gis an Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System (AFHDS). If you follow this link,http://www.youtube.com/user/RCModelR...25/sexp2iKWz0git will show you what you want to know. Fly Sky makes and supplies to other radio gear merchants under the buyers brand. You heard it from me.

Its only cheap in price, not quality. Your choice is your own.

I'm wondering how they can make those systems so cheap as some of the components alone ought to cost more than the whole thing! It also makes me think if the big brands are ripping us off because of their esteemed names.
Yes, I also feel that the cost of the radio system should be in proportion to the cost of the boat as I sure don't want to drop a $50.00 radio into a $1,000.00 boat but this system is a really good buy. Hobby Partz can't keep them in stock so that might want to worry the Big 3 of RC.

1. You are right it is a TGY 9X which is Hobby King’s brand made by Fly Sky that is originally branded as an FS-TH9X 2.4G 9CH Radio.
2. The point of the video link was to answer your particular question on how Fly Sky manages their 2.4 G AFDHS frequency whether it is a GT2, GT3, GT3B, TH9X, TGY 9X which was being compared to a Spectrum hopping frequency.
3. I have the GT3B and TGY 9X as I have also started to fly profile jets now too because all the ponds here are frozen.I can definitely tell you that NEITHER radio will interfere with each other and yes you can bind the 3CH receiver to the TGY 9X or the 8 CH receiver to the GT3B if you bind them together.
4. The commentator as you probably know is an electronics engineer and an avid hobbyist.
I hope I answered your question.

Dont get me wrong I tested my $50.00GT3B on my Arrow Shark Fighter first where I would normally glitch with my JRXS3 Pro at the pond I play at.Passing thatI programmed my Rio, then my land fleet, and lastly the 64F on it.My"5 one off land models" on the GT3B costs between$800 to a $3000 monster truck as well as 3 boats between $900 and the 64F at $2400.

To date I have on my $50 TGY 9X9 CH radio gear a $130 profile F22 jet plane.

No comment on the mark up of name brands but I am sure that they are feeling the crunch more and more.

You can buy the more popular brands or you can buy these from Hobby King. I have used these in my 1/8 scal buggy and road car and Fighter with no issues.
