Default Tuned pipe length

Hiya,
I am going to be using an RCMK S520 or RCMK 600S in my next boat. What is / how would I calculate the tuned length for the pipes? What setups do you use?
Also - whilst I am at it, which engine would you go for in a 66" mono, I don't see the point in the extra £100 for the 3hp gain. I am not interested in blistering speed and will be using a transfer box?
Thanks

Default

Pipe length will be determined mainly by prop sizes. A good starting point will be 13.5" and shorten from there. Believe it or not that extra 3hp is a big gain when hull is setup correctly so personally from a racers perspective i would spend the extra to gain more speed.
