Default zenoah water cooled exhaust manifold question

Hi, I picked up an enforcer gator with a zenoah 230 air cooled engine, strange thing is the boat has a water pickup and the engine has a water cooled manifold. Is there any benefit in running the water cooled manifold with a stock enforcer muffler?

The exhaust has at least one "O" ring in it. Water cooling the exhaust will keep the rubber (or rubber like material) that the ring is made of from drying out and failing as quickly as it could when left uncooled. Other than that.....................
