Default Building a 13 foot Cigarette boat

Okay, I have almost everything planned out so far for my project. I am starting a Cigarette racer, with twin gas engines. 13 feet long with a cigarette Deep Vee. The engines I have lined out are 2 Zenoha G-62s set at 45 degrees facing each other, to help smooth out the motors when running...has anyone else done this and if not has anyone had any problems with the big gas motors causing vibrations?

also what kind of drives/props are out for something like this? any other ideas would be most helpful..[8D]

Thanks

Sounds pretty good to me,you won't have radio problems with a boat that size mostly because you don't need one, just get in and drive!

Hey WarbirdAirRacing ....

13 FEET ?!?!?

How fast do you anticipate this Cigarette Racer will go ??

What size drive shafts are you planning ??

What size props do you think you'll use ??

Will it be built of balsa and lite plywood, or fiberglass ?!?!?

Do you think it will weigh less than 90 lbs. ??

Keep us posted.

Happy and SAFE Cruising,

Russ

Yes I agree BajaBob. He should just get in it and drive. I have a 14 foot Glastron with a 60 hp Mercury on it.

Ya know ... as stupid as this might sound , you should also check with your local DNR ( Department of Natural Resources ) or your DMV ( Department of Motor Vehicles ) ....
You MIGHT need to register that thing ....
Here in Iowa , you would ...
ANYTHING that is over 12 foot and motor driven , HAS to be registered ( water use of course ) .
