Need help in choosing Hull
Hi all,
I've been zipping around in my MHZ stingray with jet drive 14cell around the pond for a few months already and i am planning to get something faster for the seas.
Because of the nature of my family business, my dad travels out to sea frequently. I've got the chance to bring the stingray out on the open sea and it was like totally at the sea's mercy. I'm planing on something more bigger and powerful so that i can drive it along side the boat during the usual 45min-1 1/2hr ride...... hahaaa
I'm considering 26cc gas, either a deep vee or a cat. Which will be handling better in open waters? I wouldn't want my dad to always slow down for me just for it to keep up or turn arnd to pick it up when it turns over like the stingray......
And drive components must be at least saltwater resistant(are there any?)

RE: Need help in choosing Hull
whichever boat you choose will need cleaning and flushing with fresh water after running in salt water and a spray of wd40 wont hurt either.the hardware should be fine as long as you get any decent hardware (stainless steel or alloy).as regards boats a deep v would probably be best but there are good cats out there that will handle some rough stuff but on average a deep v is best.the super G ive read is a good rough water boat and also reasonably priced check out this thread!![link]http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_4951835/anchors_4951835/mpage_1/key_super/anchor/tm.htm#4951835[/link]
