RE: New Cat for the summer.
I blew a gas tank and snapped a 1/4" flex shaft in half in round three, and he saved the day for me by helping me get the boat back together before the next round.
He is instrumental in is wisdom and I owe him a debt of gratitude! (and a new tank stopper and fuel line.....)
I wish I had more friends like him!
So is one of your 260's going in the cat? What are you doing to the engine/carb?

Actually it looks like a "Ballentine Mantis Cat" if I remember right they were one of the few that did there stern drives with the etching like that. they are no longer in business but it is a quality find either way, there hulls were awesome and hardwarre even better. You shouldnt have any problems find the parts you need to complete that build. May want to talk with Justadwatta about it!
looks great!

RE: New Cat for the summer.
Yes i confirmed its a Avenger, I called aeromarine today for a new hatch. I test fit some G230PUM's in the sponson's and its a tight fit for sure but appears it could be done, both pipes would exit the center and 1 motor would be counter rotating. Though i just placed my order with sonic racing for a inline kit and i have 2 new g230's converted to alky. But i want to wait and see how it acts with that QD 25 and a heavy moded 6717/3

Well the cat has had a bit of hard luck, First day out with the square drive system the cable broke after 1 lap at full throttle, Monday came and i put a round cable in and my best 70mm 2 blade stainless prop,i swear guys you could eat off that prop,it was the best looking prop i had,not a nick or scratch in it.......... well it broke after 4 feet (not kidding) turns out that was a bad cable to start with... now i have a new cable in and new collet... so i was fealing good about the boat and decided to order some prop's for my box..

not sure? those are swashdrives, Mhz is reoportedly gonna release them aswell as others. I,m sure they will be offered as inlines. they are also reportedly gonna run on nitro aswell. which should give it a heck of alot more power, But time will tell.
