how much room for an engine to fit in height wise
well ive been working on a custom cat hull design for quite some time and now im working on the canopy. I would like to keep this as scale as possible but i have to leave room for an engine. I want to run either th 260 or a sikk 27 in this particular boat. Does anybody know what the height requirements are for that motor. .. or if there is a shorter motor that i can use to keep the scale size and look to my canopy.

Hello, height of engine measured from where is needed. I would go centreline of crankcase to top of plug cap to get a good idea.

yeah thats what i need to know really. i dont have a motor in my possession. i was hoping someone here knew how tall they are or what the height of the shortest one available is. after i know that i hope to build my canopy with just enough room for it to fit inside.

ok so 7.12 inches. great. How much room is needed for an engine mount? And is there a shorter engine available that puts out the same power? or how much room can be saved by shortening the spark plug?
