RE: zip kit hydros motors set up
Oh boy, not this again!!
A NAMBA district was going to make the class Zen's only because of the HP and RPM advantage over the Zen's. To make matters worse, they wanted to make the minimum size 48" which would disqualify the Zipp Kits hulls. Needless to say, that didn't go over too well.
This doesn't affect you as you're in Oz but if you have any plans on racing you might want to see what the AMPBA has to say.

There are currently no national rules for the thunderboat class in NAMBA. There is a set of national rules being voted on in NAMBA right now that specify a minimum length of 48" and a minimum width of 24" and it also specifies a stock 26cc Zenoah engine, a 257 carb is allowed. Doug

Have a read through them all, additionally, it may pay to touch base with one of the clubs in Queensland in your area. Talk to the guys there, you'll find them to be a wealth of information.
