Hull plug
I noticed a few people have installed a plug in the hull to empty water out quickly. I find the auto bailers do not work they seem to let in more water than "pump" out. Now I've got 2 boats with auto bailers epoxied in. What to do ? pour epoxy in them to plug them up or try and twist them out with pliers.

RE: Hull plug
I would see if they have junk in them first and also if the balls are moving freely before I removed them or filled them with epoxy. I have not had any problems with mine. 2 of my projects have been open and it really helps get the water out during running.
If there is crud in them or the ball is stuck it becomes an "auto sinker"
If you still want rid of them, they should twist out with a pair of plyers.

RE: Hull plug
OK Paul, I'll take your advise and keep them in. Its possible I'm taking on water at a faster rate than the auto bailer can handle. I'll check this out as soon as the weather gets better here in Colorado. Its windy and chilly
Thanks
