Default Trim tabs for woody?

ok, you woody guys. I'm putting trim tabs on my woody and was wondering what size i should make them. The metal i'm using is 4" wide, about how long should i make them? Also, would i need turn fins?

Thanks.

i have aeromarine trim tabs (lg) and they measure 2"x2.25". These are on my 73" mono. I also use zippkits turn fins as I beleive this boat will need all the help it can get!!

My trim tabs are about 2 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" long. Yes, you should put turn fins on it. Doug

Is there a side that the boat likes to have the fins on than the other, or can i put fins on both sides?

if you're only going to put one on, put it on the right hand side, you can put them on both sides & many people do. for fun running it'll give you better left hand turns.

Depends what you are doing with the boat. It never hurts to have the turn fins on both sides. I race and only have one on the right side. Doug
