Range for 27MHZ and 75MHZ
I have 2 radios with related receivers and I'm very used to the Acoms 27MHZ 2 channel radio. The other one is JR Racing 3 Channel pistol type 75MHZ. So what is the average range for both?

RE: Range for 27MHZ and 75MHZ
I would go with the 75Mhz FM radio.
when I ran the 75 I could go far enough that it was now a perty small boat.
27Mhz do work but I don't recommend them in a gas boat.
best way to find the range is do an actual test with each radio, make SURE you install a fail safe and set it so when you are out of range it shuts off the emgine.

RE: Range for 27MHZ and 75MHZ
Thanks Dan. I had a problem with the 75MHZ receiver and sent it to repair. I had the 27MHZ to replace it in the mean time and sealed the radio box with tapa (shiny radio box tape). I was just lazy to remove all, fix the receiver, tape it again
I already have a fail safe, just in case.
