Default What oil can I use?

Hello, I just purchased a new in the box Pro Boat 1/8 scale Miss Elam from a hobby store and was wondering about what kind of premix oil can I run in it? The hobby store is over an hour drive to get to so I was wondering if I can run a motorcycle 2 stroke premix in it. The motorcycle shop is a 5 minute drive and they have Maxima racing oil that is a synthetic polyolester oil. I need all the input I can get on these boats. Thanks,

Amsoil or Honda HP-2 is the choice of a lot of gas boaters. I'm sure that others will reply with their favorites.

I use Castrol A747, designed for high revving cart engines & wet conditions. Many bike stores also stock it.

Seems Castrol stopped making it. I wonder if they have a replacement:

I use Amsoil Dominator Racing oil. I mix 8 ounces per gallon of gas. My motors are clean and powerful with no excess wear.

It's still available here. I might stock up just in case.

I just spoke to the Aussie Castrol Tech guy & so far over hear there is no plan on discontinuing the A747 line, they sell a lot of 1 liter bottles to go-carters so it's safe for now.

Phew, thought I was going to have to stock up.

I bought another two litres today. The supplier had heard nothing of them stopping supplying it so far. See if I can still get it in a couple of months will be the test, I guess.

Plenty of other good oils around. Though 747 smells good and you don't get ht spot seizures when the cooling lines come off. Well - not unless it gets REALLY hot.
