New Pipe and Carb for my BJ55
Finally decided on a pipe, header, & carb for my BJ55 with a m5 motor. Just ordered a 7/8" TORQUEMASTER PIPE KIT & GMM Racing modified Walbro wt-257 carburetor from Gizmo. Can the primer off my 644 carb be installed on this carb or will I not need it? If I don't need it what do I do with that return fuel line?

The bulb just purges the air out of the line. Once you use it a couple of times the 257 is just as easy to start. Plug the hole with your thumb and pull until you hear it fire or pop.
Take your thumb off and pull until it starts.
Other then the restriction of the choke plate I expect your biggest gain may be from the pipe.
Is it a 0 band or 2" band?

American RC has the crank and rod assembley for $45.00 everything included. That seems like a good price to me. I just ordered a bunch of parts to build a couple of mod 26Zens.
Sorry to hear about your troubles, I had a bad wrist pin when I took mine apart to rebuild.
Good Luck; Randy

No I have had that for a few months now.

Was that what lead to the M5 upgrade kit?

Just read your prop is a X472, is that right? Seems to me the strut height should be somewhere between 6 and 8 mm table to bottom of ferrule.
Have you decided what to do about the bottom end?

I seemed to remember there was some sort of problem with the engine and that was why you got the M5 kit.

Yes prop is x472.
I don't think the crank is hurt and have new parts to rebuild on the way.

RE: New Pipe and Carb for my BJ55
Got my carb/pipe order today, but guess what no pipe or header. Inside there was a note saying they are out of stock and will ship it from their dealer. I don't need the pipe right know but this really pizzes me off. They never said a word about being out of stock and I even tried adding to the order but it had already been shipped (but they did not tell part of the order was out of stock). When I use to dragboat race Jegs was bad about this type of bussiness. I would order 4 o 5 things and get it in the mail and only half of the stuff would be shipped. I quite using them and always used Summit because they would tell when ordering if it was on back order.

That's why they do it that way. If they told you they didn't have it in stock you'd drop the order and go somewhere else.
My struts taking it's sweet time getting here. I had a computer meltdown last weekend so I didn't see the shipping choice confirmation email until Monday night. Oh well, got my sample bushings in yesterday so I have something to try anyway.

RE: New Pipe and Carb for my BJ55
It came last Saturday the 12th and they forgot to send some of the parts. If they are out of stock I would order the powermaster 2" band from cc racing. It is $50 more but I think it my be a better pipe on a modded motor. Even that they show out of stock I'll bet they are not (BUT ASK THEM WHEN YOU PLACE THE ORDER).
