Do you remember?
Here's some verbal carbon dating-
Does anyone remember from the mid to late 80's Dumas sold a Scarab RTR with a Homelite? Dumas' version of the Prather Funcruiser. It was not the 39 Scarab KV or the 55" I was hoping to find the kit number (14XX?) or name.
Thanks

RE: Do you remember?
I can't remember the number, I believe they only sell the 38 KV 55" now.
I did find the #1425 for a Scarab S turbo and I also found this Dumas Scarab S type with a 25cc Homelite that was advertised in the for sale section back in July, here's a pic (first pic).
OR
this #1440 Dumas Scarab (second pic)

RE: Do you remember?
The picture looks like it.
It's definately not the 1425, I believe that's the Scarab 45, it has a different windscreen.
It maybe the Scarab S. I'll trying searching on that. I was thinking the name had "fun" in it, like the funcruiser, something signifying it was an RTR
Thanks

The pic on the left is the 40" Scarab S and can be recognized by the two hatches that run parallel to the length.
The pic on left is the Second Gen (can't remember the model name) which is the same hull and length (55") as the 38KV with a different deck.
You might check with LilDave...I think he may be considering the sale of his Scarab with Homelight...? Sad Day for him...It is the "Second Gen" 55" with the more modern deck.

RE: Do you remember?
I think I found it. It was a Scarab S, 45", must be basically the same as the Scarab 60 but with different rails for the engine. The kit number was 1601. I found one site that still has it listed (probably just not updated), but at $1800 I don't think I'll be grabbing it. bummer.

If the size is not too out of wack...check with LilDave from my link above. It may be of interest.
