Default A make over on my cat

Hi Guys
I had some time off from my job.
I started with a 67" cat looking like this and then it went to my work shop and I had to get rid of a few things
Like the drag scop and the dummy exhaust to give it that clean look.
When that was all done I hit it with two pack paint first with the primer and then the base white and then the colour.
Let me tell you there is a lot of marsking when you wont to use lots of colours.
This was my first time with the two pack paint and I like it will be doing some more boats soon.
More work was done this time it was on the in side.
It had the old rear exhaust RCMK motors with there pipes so the lot came out and in went two new 2" B-Hanson pipes new custom headrs and thanks to Bruce at Gizmo motors the new evo barrels with his cnc pistons and running three blade 67/17.
At first I was getting 87km and with all the work and money spent I am getting 100km plus and I think I can go bigger on the props like 70/16 three blades.
Thanks to Danny from sonic racing here in Austraila go to him for all you big cat needs.
Lets see more big cats out there.
By the way if you like to know what CBM stands for its Cheating Bloody Mongrel.

Which hull is that?

Nice job on the retrofit! Pictures of the inside?

That looks like a fair bit of negative trim in the drives, is that what it takes to keep it from going airborne?

ok ok I will go back to the shead and here is some pics of the in side.
I have been trying to get the video to work on my computer and when I do I will post it.
Yes there is a bit of negative trim on the drives I had to put like that as it was dam windy and at 100km I did not wont to flip it.
The hull came from a guy in easten Austraila from Wolf marine but Tony from Viper hull also here in Austraila might be the man to help you

Hi Steve

Yes we did about 4 or5 times but with the twins it likes to have a drink and I had only 3 or so litres.
Did you hear about Robs gen 2 we got 108km out it and I was going for a good speed run with the conquest the hulk it um it dead but Bruce from Gizmo motors is sending me a new one.
I d'ont now what I will do for a paint job yet.

That hulls an easy enough fix ,trust me ive seen much worse than that,a friend hit the concrete wall at the lake at 50 mph and the boat almost sank due to the front end been in bits but it was repaired and you couldnt tell when hed finnished.

Likely a tumble with the water. I am on my sixth Conquest and they all met their demise in open water never hitting anything other than the water itself. Friend just brought his new Conquest to the lake last weekend and it did seem to be laid up a little stronger. I will need a seventh soon.

Aeromarine never seem to glass the seams on there hulls thats why they allways seem to split apart when they stuff.

yep kerry has got his cat running good now and looking good. (glade the bugcatcher is gone) ,, looks good and runns good to . it did hit the 100k mark a cupple of time the other week out...
but i dont think he is pushing it hard anaugh HAHA ....it runns good for a large cat....

and the hulk well that boat it may have destroyed itsself because it was green with envy , over kerry spending more time running his big cat.
the hulk did spent a lot of time hitting things at the speed that thing was running . and them marker boys getting in the way haha. didn't help.....,,haha.....

Thanks for all the feed back and I would like to go one better I have pushed the bar up a bit more.
At our club the club speed has been at 100km and that has been there for a long time then it went up to 105 and then 108km.
I thught that this was going to out of my reach ( ha ).
And now along came this guy ak ME and this cat and ran it up to 113km on a dam 43 hot day and I think it would do more on a cool day.
So now the guys at the club have a bit of work ha ha ha ha

Hi, Everybody & Happy New Year, Question? Does anybody have any Idea of Props that give Bow lift, As i am in the boat business, and a Chopper will give bow lift on special Boats, I was wondering if Any company offers props for certain boats that will give ( Bow lift )
The reason Is I bought a Boat, Has 2 steps, and I have tuned the Bottom, I have seen this boat that had a major makeover and It stick to the water, even with the steps.
I need to see a wide slection of Props,
So if anybody can help , Thank You Anthony
