i havent run my boat in a while it cranked but was way off tune.. have a good idle but no high and also have oil mixture leaking where my pipe is connected.. still a bit of a newbie any advice???

sounds like your carb is gummed up or gaskets leaking, give the carb a good clean and replace the exhaust gasket. Exhaust gasket alone won't stp it from going to high though.

Also check the diaphram in the carb. They sometimes become hard or not as flexable as when new. Remove the 4 small screws & the plate will come off to check it. If you have a inline fuel filter, check that too.
