RC Boats and Dinghys
Just a reminder about rescuing your boat - we always have 2 rescue boats and I usually take a large piece of styrofoam to place boat on in dinghy - it blew off this time
REMEMBER IF YOU USE INFLATABLE RESCUE BOATS - take a life jacket - have a spare of everything - AND take something to set boat on ........
For me it was a swim but could be real ugly if water was colder
Cheers ........... OHi bought a real Zodiac today .....................LOL

I had to cut actual 'pop' of dinghy out due to some language used .............. LOL

RE: RC Boats and Dinghys
ops thats not to good,,, good thinkg you got back ok... shame you had to edit out the poping of the rubber boat ...
good thing you got back safely...
we use to use a inflatable , or a mate use to have a surfski to paddle out on. but ive now picked up a 10ft ally dingy so no more pumping it up or puncturing it..lol..
i hate it seeing anyone swimming for a boat in a pond or lake ....not worth the risk...pond/lake fresh water is alsway so much colder to.....
or for that matter we get snakes around the lake we run at..... not meany people know but me and a nother guy have seen it first hand... snake went strait into the water. in front of us for a swim .... coulnt beleave it...

A tough way to go but good to see you had a back up plan on hand.
I have a suction cup on a string that I attach to the hulls which allows me to tow them to shore. Makes life a lot easier (rather than wrangling a 50+ pound boat while on a dinghy). I tend to keep my hardware reasonably dull but you can still get a point of a blade to puncture if not careful.

Heres how its done over here at the organised meets, most race boats have a means of been towed in behind the rescue boat.Seems a good idea to me if your going to use a rescue boat.
