Default O.S. .81 fit into Miss Circus?

Hello,

Im new to rc boats and im about to buy the Miss Circus 42" and am having trouble finding a .67 engine. I was wondering if the O.S. .81 would fit into it?

Are you planning on racing it or just mess around. If playing with it, the engine will fit. If you have a large enough shoehorn, you could squeeze a gas motor in there!
.60-sized engines aren't that hard to find. The MAC is one of the best out there right now. http://cmdracing.com/updated/main.htm

Thanks. Yeah I just plan on playing with it, but I love speed! Thats why I was wondering if it would fit. From what little I know about rc engines, isnt nitro better than gas? I had a nitro engine in my car and it was a blast. Thaks for link, too.

Gas or Nitro, it depends on who you ask. Don't listen to those Electric boys!
I was just on ebay and saw a K&B .67 up for bid on the first page. I didn't go in and look at it but thought of you. I don't think that this site will let you put in eBay links for some reason. Not the quickest, but dependable.

Haha. My friend had an electric one and I didnt like the idea of taking forever to charge and only getting a little time to play with it. Do you think the .81 would be alot faster than .67 or is the speed difference not worth the money. I completly forgot about ebay.

The .81 should be faster in the hydro. Most of the time with these hulls, it's the set-up that makes a big difference. Getting it right is the main thing.

What exactly do you mean by its "setup" ? Do you change the hull or something?

Just getting the right drive angle, the right prop, and everything else in it's place. I've never run one but I'm told that the Scale boats can be fickle at times.

In my experiance the best engine in the 67 range would be a cmb 67 green head or a 67 mac. Both of these motors are very tough. They have a steele rod and low end needle bearings. I have seen 67 cmbs preform very well in scales this year to the extent that I bought one to put in my Winston Eagle as I slowly get it toward being finished. Until now I have always ran piccos but I am saving those motors for my crapshooter as these are not available at this time. Hope I helped some. Ken

Go back up to one of my previous posts, it's there. There is CMD and CMB, two different outfits. CMD is Competition Marine Design which sells the MAC's and CMB is an engine manufacturer. The are sold at www.marinespecialties-rc.us

If I were to buy a Mac, I would Contact Gary Preusse as he will do you very well. If I were to buy a CMB. I would Email Jay Stone at stonerracing.com, he is also a CMB dealer. Ken

Sorry to interrupt but I've been looking for Ken.
My buddy Mike is moving down there starting next Tuesday. I got his Aeromarine Cat half-assed done last night. It should be RTR but he might need some help getting it going. He has your number and should be giving you a call once he's ready.
