Default setting c-g

I have a spitfire 2 with a modded 7.5 k/b. Want to check my c-g. I would like to set it around 30% of total length. My question is do i measure from rear of outboard or rear of sponsons ? Thanx

Just curious, where did you get the 30% figure from? That sounds like the balance point of a vee hull, not a hydro

Rear of sponsons. Aim for 28-30% then go jump the boat over wakes and check what the boat does. If if it jumps nose up adjust the cg slightly forward.

Jump a outboard rigger over wakes? Are you serious?
